Made With Purpose

Each sweat has been lovingly sewn by the incredible women of The Blessed Project in the Philippines. These women are survivors of human trafficking, and through the Blessed Project, they’re being offered safe housing, training, and rehabilitation. Sewing these garments isn’t just a job—it’s part of their journey toward healing and empowerment 

We’ve worked with The Blessed Project since the beginning of Winki, and it’s a partnership we’re endlessly grateful for. Every piece we produce with them is a reminder that fashion can be both beautiful and deeply impactful. 

As a special touch, the makers have sewn in a handmade tag with their name on the inside of the sweatshirt. We wanted to open up the opportunity for you to reach and connect with your maker on the other side of the world. To read their incredible stories, here over the Meet Your Maker page.

The Mermaid Brigade is a tribute to all the women reclaiming space in the surf. For too long, the ocean was seen as a space dominated by men. But over the years, women around the world have been rising, paddling out, and building their own strong, salty communities. We see you. And we’re with you.

This sweat celebrates that community—both in the water and behind the seams. It’s a symbol of surf culture evolving, of women supporting women, and of stories stitched into every thread.
