Hello friends, it's us again.

It's been a while since we've posted our last blog but we thought this collaboration deserved its own blog post. This Friday on the 7th of October, we're launching our much-awaited surf-hat collaboration with Sunward Bound. We've listened to your many requests over the past 18 months for some Winki inspired, functional surf-hats and we hope we've met your expectations.

After designing some new prints in house, we teamed up with lovely, local business Sunward Bound. They've only been around for a little over a year, but female-founder Siena, knows the market inside out as a passionate surfer and ocean-lover herself. If you live on the East Coast of Australia, I'm sure you've seen her surf-hats stocked in boutiques and being worn out in the water.

Collaborations always take quite a while to come together but we had so much fun designing this hat and ensuring it met both our quality and ethical standards. Sunward Bound's hats are made in Taiwan, through a big yet ethical manufacturing business. 

We realised that a surf-hat without a matching surf-suit is no surf-hat at all. So we've launched a limited edition run of our Bessie's and Lola's in the Sunny print to be worn alongside the surf-hats. 

After receiving hat samples from Siena and suit samples from our lovely makers in Sydney, we gave them a whirl at Collaroy and roped in our good friend, Kendall to organise our campaign shoot. We love how it all turned out.

We hope you love these babies and we can't wait to see them being worn out in the water on their Winki adventures.
